• Confirm the exact plant part and extraction process, then secure a written Novel Food status opinion for the sea buckthorn oil (berry/seed only, not leaf) from BVL or an EU food law counsel
• Appoint and contract an EU-established Food Business Operator / importer of record in Germany, including recall, traceability and RASFF notification obligations
• Obtain current FSSAI licence, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 or GMP certificate and the full HACCP plan from the Indian soft-gel manufacturer; audit the oxidation and gelatin sourcing CCPs
• Decide gelatin shell strategy: switch to a plant-based shell to avoid composite-product veterinary controls, or else secure EU-approved gelatin establishment listing, private attestation and BCP/CHED-P routing
